Solapur has been a towel-weaving city for longer than most of the mills operating there today, and ours is one of them: V P Mundada has been weaving in Solapur since 1972. That matters to a buyer evaluating India as a source, not just this one supplier, because a manufacturing cluster this established means depth — trained weaving and finishing labour, dyehouses built for cotton terry specifically, and a supply chain used to producing at export volume, not a single factory operating in isolation.
India also grows a large share of the world's cotton, which is the other half of why buyers evaluate it as a source in the first place — raw material proximity keeps cost and lead time more predictable than importing cotton to weave elsewhere. What we add on top of that is process: a physical sample approved before bulk, colour fixed by lab dip before bulk dyeing, and certification — OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, MADE IN GREEN and STeP, ISO 9001:2015, GRS and amfori BSCI at the towel mill — that answers the compliance questions a first-time buyer from India usually has before anything else.
Cotton is not one product here, either. Towels are woven at V P Mundada in Solapur; organic cotton bed and table linen is made by our partner Cotonex in Karur under GOTS Version 7.0 — a separate certification, for a separate line, and one worth naming correctly rather than folding into the towel mill's certifications as if it were the same claim.

One mill, not a broker chain
Towels are made at our manufacturing partner V P Mundada in Solapur, weaving since 1972. Quotations and shipment come FOB direct from the mill, so your commercial relationship is with the people running the looms.
Specification fixed before production
GSM, size, colour, border, weave and packaging are set to your specification, and nothing enters bulk production until you have approved a physical sample.
Certified production floor
The mill holds OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100, OEKO-TEX MADE IN GREEN, OEKO-TEX STeP, ISO 9001:2015, GRS and BSCI certification. Organic cotton linen is made by our partner Cotonex in Karur under GOTS Version 7.0.

Can we also source organic cotton linen from India through you?
Yes — bed and table linen in organic cotton is made by our partner Cotonex in Karur, certified under GOTS Version 7.0. It ships alongside a towel order or on its own, quoted and documented separately since it is a different certification from the towel mill's.
What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ varies by product and customisation level — for standard ranges it is typically container-load based, and for private label it depends on the finish. Tell us the product and market and our export team will confirm the exact figure.
